All cremation arrangements are made over the telephone Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm with our experienced funeral arrangers who will guide you through the arrangement process.

How to pay

We accept payments over the phone, and can advise you of other options when the cremation arrangements are being made. Full payment is to be made by the day before the cremation service.

Value Cremations offers a low-cost, value for money cremation for those on a budget.  We operate in the Clarence Valley region covering Maclean, Yamba, Iluka and Grafton.

The Value Cremations package is a direct cremation service, instead of a traditional funeral, which means no family or friends are present. After you have spoken with one of our team, we transfer the deceased into our care, complete the necessary documentation such as the death certificate and conduct the cremation. You will be notified by the crematorium when the ashes are ready for collection. The ashes will be supplied to you in a plastic ash container.

Terms & Conditions
Prices are inclusive of GST. The coffin in the package is a BioBoard® coffin. If required an over-sized coffin is available at an additional cost.
Transport included in the package is within an area of 50km from Value Cremations. Transport from outside this area is available at an additional cost. If transport is required after hours it is available at an additional cost.

Funeral service vs direct cremation

Direct cremations - sometimes referred to as no-service funerals - are becoming increasingly popular in Australia as many consider them a cheaper alternative to a traditional funeral. It is important to understand however that a direct cremation is not the same as a full funeral service. Typically, direct cremations do not have family or friends present. Instead the arrangements are made over the phone and then our staff will come and collect your loved one and then conduct the cremation in private. The crematorium will contact you when the ashes are to be collected by your family or to discuss memorialisation.

A funeral service on the other hand will often be held at a chapel or some other venue with family and friends in attendance and a celebrant or priest officiating. By forgoing these things and other extras like flowers and funeral notices, Value Cremations are able to keep the price as low as possible and provide this low-cost funeral alternative to you and your family.
